dc.description.abstractConfocal SLO topographic analysis using a novel HRT3 algorithm can be used to measure macular thickness and volumel. In normal eyes and in eyes with DME, the two instruments were in good agreement. In eyes with AMD, larger thickness and volume measurements were found with the HRT3 compared to the Stratus OCT. This dicrepancy is probably based on the nature of the HRT3 algorithm that measures both retinal thickness and subretinal/sub-retinal pigment epithelium thickness, as opposed to the Stratus OCT algorithm which measures only retinal thickness.-
