dc.description.abstractCerebral microbleeds appear as small, dot-like, hypointense lesions on T2*-weighted gradient-echo MRI (GRE). Considering that matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) may play a very important role in disrupting the blood brain barrier, it may also be important in microbleeds.-
