Corpus callosum is the largest of the commissural systems of the brain. It connects the neopallidum of the two hemispheres. Callosal disconnection results in the functional independence of each hemisphere and almost produces characteristic signs including alien hand, left sided apraxia, left agraphia and left tactile anomia.-
