dc.description.abstractPNIPAm-grafted silica particles were synthesized by radical copolymerization of NIPAm and 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate (MOP)-modified silica micro-spheres prepared in W/O emulsion. N,N’-methylene bisacrylamide (MBA) and N,N,N’, N’-tetramethylethylenediamine (TEMED) were used as the cross-linker and the accelerator. NIPAm and MOP-silica were radical copolymerized with the variation of reaction conditions including reaction temperature, concentration of cross-linker, and weight ratio of NIPAm and MOP-silica.-
