In this paper, we basically review the theoretical development in minimalism since Chomsky (1995). First, we will go through the major points of the lexicon-syntax interface in Chomsky (1995). Then, we will review the lexicon-to-syntax mapping ideas in Chomsky (1988, 2001). We point out some flaws in his argumentation, and that Chomsky`s (2001) generalization of the lexico-functional category "small v" onto the other major lexical categories may enjoy some empirical supports from English.-
