| dc.description.abstract | In an effort to inspect endocrine disruption by xenoestrogen in the aquatic environment of Korea, RT-PCR analysis of vitellogenin (Vg) mRNA expression were examined in male liver of Synechogobius hastus following nonylphenol (NP) treatment. 5 days after single injection of NP (1 mg/kg BW) the significant induction of Vg mRNA was detected. 2 days after 2nd injecten Vg mRNA was detected in NP 0.1 mg/kg BW group. This result suggests that NP is estrogenic in male liver of Synechogobius hastus and that continuous exposure to NP decrease the lowest-observed-effect level (LOEL). | - |
