| dc.description.abstract | Osmotic myelinolysis is a distinctive clinical syndrome with characteristic "bat wing" MRI lesion in central pons, which is also called as central pontine myelinolysis(CPM). Demyelinating lesions are not olny limited at central pons, but also may be involved in extrapontine regions (Extrapontine myelinolysis; EPM). Usual involvement regions of EPM are basal ganglia, thalamus, and cerebellum, In this study, we report a atypical case of CPM and EPM only limited in pyramidal motor pathways continuously from precentral gyrus to central pons in MR image. | - |
