| dc.description.abstract | The Zirconium phosphate particles with the size of 20nm were fabricated through solution technique using ZrOCl28H2O and H3PO4 as precursors. Stable Zirconium phosphate could be ensured by mixing excess P to Zr instead of using reflux route that resulted in coarsening of particles due to a inevetable prolonged processing time. The excess phosphorous incorporated in the crystal was eliminated through careful washing and the stability of crystal was validated through TG and XRD analysis. The nano Zirconium Phosphate obtained exhibited increased capability of silver ion exchange and it resulted in improved antimicrobial properties against E.Coli. comparing with Zirconium phosphate obtained through conventional reflux route | - |
