A Three-layer gas pipe is analyzed by using developed program MULTICOAT and the results are compared with experiments. The MULTICOAT is developed by using Excel and verified by comparing the results with the commercial program ANSYS. The three-layer gas pipe is manufactured at high temperature and then falls down room temperature. Therefore, three-layer gas pipe has thermally induced residual stresses. In this case, there is a quite possibility of destroying the pipe and a fatal accident. In order to analyzing the residual stress, the pipe is divided into many rings and each ring has constant material properties. And an analysis of behavior of pipe is based on an assumption of a generalized plane strain(GPS) that all the rings are free to extend or contract in the axial direction. The calculated results become the base to make the international standard and extend of pipe's durability and stability.-
