dc.description.abstract | In the present study, the effect of Ni contents on densification and grain growth in Ni-doped W compact was investigated by using the dilatometer for the purpose of improving the workability and sinterability of the Ni-doped W specimen. Considering the grain boundary embrittlement and densification, Ni amount was varied from 0.02 to 0.4%. The sintered specimen was densified over 98% of theoretical density by adding only 0.6wt% Ni in sub-micron W powder through the appropriate heating rate up to 1400oC. It was also observed that microstructure development was strongly dependent on the change of heating rates and the Ni amount. | - |
