Aime & Scopes
- The Journal of Cytology is the official Quarterlypublication of the Indian Academy of Cytologists. It is in the 25thyear of publication in the year 2008. The journal covers all aspectsof diagnostic cytology, including fine needle aspiration cytology,gynecological and non-gynecological cytology. Articles on ancillarytechniques, like cytochemistry, immunocytochemistry, electronmicroscopy, molecular cytopathology, as applied to cytologicalmaterial are also welcome. The journal gives preference toclinically oriented studies over experimental and animal studies.The Journal would publish peer-reviewed original research papers,case reports, systematic reviews, meta-analysis, and debates. With the aim of faster and better dissemination of knowledge, wewill be publishing articles ‘Ahead of Print’ immediately onacceptance. In addition, the journal would allow free access (OpenAccess) to its contents, which is likely to attract more readers andcitations to articles published in JoC.
