Aime & Scopes

  • Xenotransplantation provides its readership with rapid communication of new findings in the field of organ and tissue transplantation across species barriers. The journal is not only of interest to those whose primary area is xenotransplantation, but also to veterinarians, microbiologists and geneticists. It also investigates and reports on the controversial theological, ethical, legal and psychological implications of xenotransplantation. Unsolicited contributions of full length and brief communications dealing with both basic and applied studies in this field will be considered for publication pending scientific review to assure high quality. In addition, review articles of timely subjects will be solicited by the editors. While xenotransplantation still has a considerable way to go before it becomes a clinical reality, researchers remain confident that new advances are steadily bringing that day closer. Xenotransplantation is the journal for all those who wish to stay at the forefront of this fast developing and emerging field.
