Abstract
This paper presents the examination of geophysical model functions for radar backscattering from sea surfaces. The LGMF (L-band geophysical model function), CMOD5 (C-band model 5), XMOD2 (X-band model 2), and Ku-SASS2 (Ku-band model based on the SeaSat-A satellite scatterometer) models corresponding to L-, C-, X-, and Ku-bands, are examined for their accuracies and compared each other in this study. © 2019 IEEE.
