- Abstract
- 10년~20년 사이 우리나라와 중국은 초고령 사회가 될 것이다. 우리 사회는 고령화에 대한 대비가 필요하다. 그 중 고령자를 위한 제품과 서비스는 일반인들의 제품과 서비스에 비해 거의 전무한 상황이라고 할 수 있다. 또한 현존하는 고령자를 위한 제품과 서비스는 고령층의 신체적·감성적·사회적·경제적 특성에 대하여 이해가 부족하므로, 미래 고령사회의 경쟁력 있는 고령친화 제품 및 서비스 개발을 위해 적정기술의 개념을 활용한 시니어 디자인 전략을 제안한다. 시니어 디자인 모델의 특징은 디자인 프로세스에 고령층이 경험하는 변화에 대한 인식을 디자이너와 공유하는 “변화 인식”과정과 사용자의 특성을 반영한 아이디어에 적정기술을 찾아 적용하는 “융합”의 단계가 포함되어 있다는 점이다. 또한 각 디자인 프로세스가 실제적인 효과를 도출하기 위해서 반드시 참여해야 하는 참가자를 규정하여 참가자들의 특징적이고 전문적인 아이디어들이 반영될 수 있도록 하였다.
