- Abstract
- 조형작품의 모티브(Motif)는 형식과 의지에 의해 구성되는 상징과 표상이며 현상적 의미를 지닌 표현적 행동의 의식적 활동이다. 본 연구는 기하학적 모티브가 지닌 조형형식과 구조의 외형적 양식으로 재현된 의미가 어떠한 방법으로 표현되고 있는가에 대한 조형적 형상 연구에 목표를 두었다. 이를 위한 접근 방법과 범위는 기하학적 상징과 추상적 재현의 대표적 작품 66점을 9개의 카테고리별로 분석, 진단, 재해석 하였다. 논제에 대한 미적 가치 체계와 대상이 지닌 존재방식의 상호 작용된 표현 소재에 대한 가능성을 탐구하였다. 기술(記述)적, 상징적 개념을 지닌 양식으로서의 기하학적 모티브가 지닌 조형형식들은 직유, 은유, 환유에 의한 이념적 속성을 지닌 인위성으로서의 독특한 비재현적인 요소를 지니고 있음을 확인하였다.
