dc.description.abstractThe usual analytic or complex baseband representations of linear systems and signals may not be valid unless certain conditions are satisfied. In this correspondence, we provide the necessary and sufficient conditions for the validity of complex baseband and analytic representations of linear time-variant (LTV) systems and signals. We also provide a simple sufficient condition applicable to many practical situations of interest.-
