dc.description.abstractRecently banking organizations have transformed their processes from traditional product-centric approach to more integrated, customer-centric way of doing business. To establish centralized and integrated business processes, banks have invested in Business Process Reengineering (BPR) project heavily to reinforce their front lines like sales and customer service. In this research, we proposed a framework of implementing Business Process Reengineering in banking industry. This Framework consists of five domains Business Process, Information Technology, Structure, Management and People. To draw this framework, we review the current literatures about the definition of BPR as well as various performance measurement factors of BPR project. We also applied the proposed framework to a BPR project, implemented in A Bank and examined both the feasibility of the framework and the performance of BPR project. The paper suggests theoretical basis related to performance and implementation of BPR. In addition, this study provides practical implications and guidelines for carrying out BPR project in banking industry.-
