Spurious radiations of patch antenna with band-stop characteristic of split ring resonators (SRRs) have been suppressed. The SRRs are located near feed line of the upper substrate to couple perpendicular magnetic field to SRRs. These types of SRRs can be characterized with negative permeability and positive permittivity near the resonant frequency so that wave cannot propagate. Six-SRRs have been utilized to eliminate the first and second spurious radiations of patch antenna. © 2005 IEEE.-
