- Abstract
- Architectural material consists of structure and surface. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between tactile sensations and visual sensations in the evaluation of building materials and to grasp the relationship between the surface roughness/hardness and the level of tension. The test showed that the evaluation of appearance was explained by <rough>, <smooth>, <hard>, <soft>, and <tension>. We can understand how to express the material in design throughout the level of tension by texture.
