Seed electron currents emitted by voltage pulses were measured using a highly-sensitive and fast-responding measuring apparatus. The results indicated that a short burst of seed electrons are emitted from MgO nano powders upon the application of voltage pulse and its current density is 4 orders of magnitude larger compared with that of exo-electron emission.-
