- Abstract
- In this paper, a resonant slot array antenna of partial H-plane waveguide using inclined sidewall slots is proposed. The sidewall slots without edged sections in broad wall can be spaced by half a guided wavelength because the slots are embodied alternately in two sidewalls separated by a metal vane of partial H-plane waveguide having a phase difference of 180 degrees. To design the array antenna, the dielectric filled sidewall slots with reduced resonant length are employed. Moreover, the cross section of the designed slot array antenna is reduced by 26% compared with that of conventional waveguide slot antenna. The simulated result shows that a partial H-plane slot antenna satisfies the desired return loss and radiation pattern at the operation frequency.
