dc.description.abstract | This study examined the ethics of ‘Missing Person’ of ‘Marginalized Women’ who faces Korean modern society, focusing on the 1980s Korean film ‘Suddenly, in Dark Night(1981)’, which is considered a problematic work even within the film that received an active response from the audience of the modern event. Through this film, women’s complete character as a complete subject was excluded, and the image of sacrificing for the family is clearly revealed. The psychological state of Sun-hee and Mi-ok in the movie used ‘Psychoanalysis Theory(Sigmund Freud, Jaques Lacan, Julia Christeva)’ to analyze the character’s relationship and study how the mother’s position in the role is composed. The film, directed by Ko Young-nam(1935-2003), is mentioned along with the Korean classic horror film ‘The Wrath(1986)’. It was released 40 years ago with a shocking material and then released in 2018 with improved image quality. Even now, ‘Suddenly, in Dark Night(1981)’ is a masterpiece film with a smooth theme and play development. The results of the study can be found to be meaningful in that it was analyzed from the perspective of women’s missing personality and psychoanalysis in the absence of a single study on this film. | - |
