dc.description.abstract | This study was intended to propose a service that helps the news readers to make a judgement on events more objectively. To this effect, we analyzed domestic media related apps and conducted in-depth interviews with those involved in the media industry and prospective users to discuss the current status of the media. As a result, it was found that people's interest in politics has increased due to domestic political turmoil, but the credibility of the media has been lowered. We analyzed the results of in-depth interviews using Affinity Program and organized the problems between stakeholders through User Modeling. As a result, it was found that the media reported the articles that are not objective and biased, and produce fake news, failing to function appropriately, and the readers subscribed only the lopsided press and were unable to listen to the opposite opinions. With these problems, society is gradually being divided into polarities and confused. In this study, to resolve these problems, we made a mobile app service named Decalcomanie that helps readers to compare two articles with different opinions and compare them with each other in an objective way by arranging these two articles side by side. Decalcomanie is a technique that paints paper on paper and folds paper in half to create a symmetrical pattern. We applied this concept to the proposed service to allow readers to find articles with two different opinions on one event. In addition, the service also provides objective facts (POINT function), when the underlined part is pressed. We hope that this service serves as a new platform where the media function correctly and opinions among various users are exchanged in a free and healthy manner. | - |
