- Abstract
- 박고석의 작품세계는 산 그림을 중심을 연구되어왔고 1950년대 작품들은 간략하게 다뤄지거나 산 그림이 등장하기 이전의 모색기로만 다뤄졌다. 그러나 박고석은 피난처에서 개인전을 열었던 몇 안되는 작가들 중 하나로, 1953년 6월에 부산 '휘가로' 다방에서 개인전을 열었을 정도로 활발한 활동을 펼쳤다. 환도 이후에는 '모던아트협회'의 핵심멤버로 활동하였으며 국전의 보수적 경향에 맞어 전위적인 활동을 펼쳤다. 본고에서는 유화는 물론 드로잉, 표지화, 삽화 등을 면밀히 검토하여 1950년대 미술을 고찰하였다.
