The purpose of this study is to examine the current status and tasks of new business development in fourth industrial revolution, and to examine how the role of large enterprises will be changed. In enhancing new business development, conditions for start-up should be improved, and small and venture companies should secure higher competitiveness to find promising items. In order for SMEs to be positioned in the center of economic structure, new start-ups or SMEs should be activated, but the role of large enterprises will be also important. Nevertheless large corporations should not monopolize economic and control power as before, and should play the role of leading industrial ecosystem and supporting other members. It is necessary for large corporation to be a main player in development of new business, but measures should be taken to minimize the adverse effects of expansion of business size scope. To this end, the principle of build and scrap must be kept and the business system needs to evolve. By establishing a cooperative ecosystem, new business development necessary for the fourth industrial revolution can be activated.-
