College students in their 20s, potential customers for a financial service industry, have a different life style from people in other age groups and require a differentiated customized service. The aim of this research is to propose a new financial service which can help university students manage their planned spending by utilizing service design methods. As for research method, ‘double diamond’ design process model of Design Council was utilized for the overall research direction. To achieve the aim, a new financial service ‘Planit’ was developed through discovery of insights by conducting literature survey and in-depth interviews, and providing a cultural probe toolkit. Four critical service factors of Planit were developed such as flagship store, planner, check card, and money book application. Planit is devised to help financial life of college students in their 20s and enable them to become long-term financial customers in the future society. In this regard, this study might be used for the development of a new financial service model in diverse financial institutions.-
