This article presents an unequal Wilkinson power divider (UWPD) with a compact size that uses S- to Y-parameter conversion. The proposed UWPD design method involves connecting shunt reactance elements at all ports; specifically, a parallel circuit consisting of a resistor and capacitor is connected at isolation positions. To validate this method, we simulate the UWPD at center frequency of 450 MHz, with a 20 degrees phase delay and a 3:1 power division; during the simulation, we take measurements whose characteristics agree well with the simulation results.
