- Abstract
- This paper presents a novel technique to express 3D digital garment data as 2D vectorized graphic file format. The 3D garment mesh data, generated by 3D apparel CAD systems, were projected to 2D image plane, maintaining the triangular mesh and color information. The projected image was saved as scalable vectorized graphics (SVG) file format.
Each triangle element comprised of three triangular components to express Gouraud shading. To preserve the in-plane continuous Gouraud shading, pseudo-Bernstein polynomial coefficient was adopted. The proposed method was compared with the results of conventional 2D raster-type images.
