dc.description.abstractThis paper proposed an architecture that utilize edge servers to allocate logistic jobs to autonomous guided vehicles (AGV) in smart factory setting. The logistic jobs are about picking up payload from a station in smart factory to another station. This problem are modeled as Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) and each edge server will try to solve this problem when it is matching a new job with an AGV that it controls. Simulation results shows the proposed system can reduce computation load at main server when utilizing edge servers and the number of AGVs can be adjusted to achieve better job allocation and execution performance.-
