dc.description.abstract | In the present work, the development of the microstructure, texture, and mechanical properties of AZ31B Mg alloys after rolling at 200A degrees C along different directions was studied. The development of microstructure after rolling can be explained on the basis of twinning and dynamic recrystallization. After the heat-treatment at 300A degrees C in rolled sheets in order to relieve stress, grains in the shear like deformed band developed inhomogeneously like a cluster. The basal planes split and were rotated in the rolling direction (RD). Two samples had similar grain morphologies and textures; nevertheless, these sheets had different mechanical properties. The reasons can be attributed to the influence of the developed microstructure, such as twinning and textures. | - |
