- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences in social self-concept, psychological well-being, and exercise continuity according to the degree of participation of golfer. To achieve the purpose of the study, 308 survey responses were collected from adults participating in golf club activities, and frequency analysis was used to find out demographic characteristics. To verify the validity and reliability of the questions listed in the questionnaire, exploratory factor analysis was performed and Cronbach' α was calculated. In order to find out the difference by variable according to the degree of participation, one-way ANOVA was performed (p<.05), and Duncan's post-hoc analysis was performed.
The results of the study are as follows, 1) It was confirmed that the social self-concept of golfer according to the degree of participation showed a significant difference in the participation period and participation time (p<.05). 2) It was confirmed that the psychological happiness of golfer according to the degree of participation showed significant differences in the participation period and participation time (p<.05). 3) It was confirmed that there was a significant difference in the duration and frequency of participation in the duration of exercise of golfer according to the degree of participation (p<.05). Based on the above results, it is confirmed that the degree of participation of golfer has some significant impact on self-concept, psychological well-being and exercise continuation. The results are expected to be used for basic standard data to expand participation of golfer and to induce continuous sport participation. Also, additional factor research is required for exercise participants’ advanced quality of life and feeling of well-being.
