dc.description.abstractThis study surveys a worldwide famous Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki and analyzes his architectures which have architectural concepts from 1960s to now. He has received the Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate in 1993 and AIA Gold Medal in 2011 that is very glorious and honorable as an architect. Therefore this study researches his architectural works into the essential meanings and characters thoroughly to find out his architectural concepts. Fumihiko Maki has pursued various concepts in his works which have context & group form in city and Modern style, Japanese traditional space & application of new technologies and materials in architecture. But his concept of architectural construction are not meaning of individual concepts separately but harmonization in his works interactively.-
