We herein present a case of a 29-year-old manwith clear rhinorrhea, which persisted for 8 years followinga myringotomy. After cotton pledgets wereplaced in several different regions of the nasal cavity, cisternography using Tc-99m DTPA was performed tomeasure the r a d i o a c t i v i t y o f each pl e d g e t .Cisternography showed subtle uptake in the nasal cavity. However, intense uptake was detected in the pledgetplaced in the right eustachian tube orifice, where thepledget:serum count ratio was 10.3:1. The patientunderwent duroplasty and cranioplasty, and therhinorrhea resolved.-
