Optimal relaying scheme with energy harvesting in a cognitive wireless sensor network

Abstract

This paper proposes an outage-optimal relaying scheme to improve the performance of a cognitive wireless sensor network, when relays are self-powered by energy harvesting from the primary signal. We propose an optimal relay selection scheme that takes the harvested energy into account. The outage probability of the secondary wireless sensor network is also analyzed, and numerical results are provided to verify the analysis. © 2016 IEEE.
