- Abstract
- Hangul (Korean characters) used by Koreans is one of the most scientific and amazing letters in the world. It was first created to enable easy and convenient use of the language for the nation. Also, along with popularity of Korean Wave, the number of foreigners interested in and wanting to study Korean language is increasing as well. Among those foreigners, there are typical difficulties that English natives have when learning Korean language. The purpose of this research is to have a comparative analysis on allophone of Korean and English when English natives pronounce Korean. When resonance frequency of allophone words selected from Korean and English individually are compared, it was found out that English natives have a difficulty in allophone as they recognize each letter differently.. © 2017 International Information Institute.
