Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate an analysis on physique, body composition and physical fitness of classified by skeletal maturation in elementary school student who practice taekwondo. The subjects for this study include 194 children between the ages of 7 and 12 from taekwondo studios in the Seoul and Kyoung gi area. Bone maturation was measured by calculating the RUS score using the TW3 method and bone age was calculated using the RUS score and all data was statistically analyzed using SAS on a personal computer. The mean and standard deviation of all data was calculated using descriptive statistics and level of bone maturation by group was converted to percentage. The results of the study show that average bone maturation score increased with age and the RUS bone score of children practicing taekwondo were 260.8points for age 7, 273.3 points for age 8, 302.1 points for age 9, 323.1 points for age 10, 414.5 points for age 11 and 415.8 for age 12. In the case of practitioners of taekwondo, bone age showed to be 8.5 years for 7 year olds, 8.8 years for 8 year olds, 9.5 years for 9 year olds, 10.5 for 10 year olds, 11.7 for 11 year olds and 11.8 for 12 year olds. Correlation analysis between bone maturation and physical factors showed that forpractitioners, there was a positive correlation between bone maturation and standing height(0.82), sitting height(0.75), weight(0.76), chest circumference(0.64). * 본 연구는 숭실대학교 교내연구비 지원으로 이루어졌음* 교신저자 : 윤형기, 숭실대학교 ssu0378@ssu.ac.kr1) 2) 숭실대학교156-743 서울시 동작구 상도동 511
