- Abstract
- 본 연구는 부모님을 자살로 상실한 청소년의 경험을 포토보이스 연구방법을 활용하여 분석한 것이다. 연구 참여자는 자살 유가족으로서 상담과 자조모임에 6개월 이상 참여하고 있는 청소년 4명을 대상으로 하였으며, 포토보이스를 4차례 시행하였다. 연구결과, 자살로 부모님을 잃은 청소년의 경험은 2개의 대주제와 8개의 하위주제로 분석되었다. 대주제는 ‘부모님 죽음 이후의 변화: 회오리바람이 할퀴고 간 빈 들판’과 ‘부모님의 죽음을 애도함: 버림받은 슬픔에서 사별의 슬픔을 통한 애도’로 도출되었다. 이는 갑자기 사라진 부모님의 빈자리를 체험하며 유가족으로서 겪는 심리적, 일상적, 상황적 변화의 경험과, 받아들이기 어려운 부모님의 죽음을 이해하려고 노력하며 슬픔을 치유하려는 애도의 과정을 의미하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 부모님이 자살로 돌아가신 아동·청소년의 애도와 회복을 도울 수 있는 가족과 전문가의 역할수행, 남겨진 가족들을 지원하는 사회적 지지체계 마련과 우리 사회의 자살에 대한 인식 개선의 중요성을 제언하였다.
