- Abstract
- As new types of mobile devices appear, the next generation mobile computing with their dazzling capabilities is emerging. For example, AR Drone provide intrinsic mobility of flying, which is not found in smartphones. However, mobile computing with new devices presents an issue of ultra-heterogeneity, which is found on hardware platforms, software platforms, network protocols, mobility, and sensing and actuating capabilities. In this paper, we present a comprehensive view of ultra-heterogeneous mobile computing, technical challenges with it, and a solution space for the challenges. © 2015, American Scientific Publishers.
