스토리텔링을 활용한 과학활동이 유아의 과학적 문제해결력 및 언어이해력에 미치는 영향

Abstract

본 연구는 스토리텔링을 활용한 과학실험활동이 유아의 과학적 문제해결력과 언어이해력에 미치는영향을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 연구의 대상은 경기도 시흥시 소재 Y 유치원 만4세반 유아 40명이며10주 동안 총10회에 걸쳐 실험집단에는 스토리텔링을 활용한 과학실험 활동을, 비교집단에는 스토리텔링을 활용하지 않은 일반적인 과학 실험을 실시하였다. ‘과학적 문제해결력’과 ‘언어이해력’ 검사 도구를 사용, 자료를 수집하였고 t-검증을 통해 그 효과를 분석하였다. 연구결과 스토리텔링을 활용한과학실험 활동은 유아의 과학적 문제해결력과 언어이해력 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 과학적 문제해결력의 하위 요소인 문제의 발견 및 진술, 문제해결에 대한 아이디어 제안 및 적용과 언어이해력의 하위 요소인 그림 이해와 이야기 이해에서 실험집단이 비교집단보다 의미 있는 향상이 나타났다.

This research’s purpose is to examine the effect of science activity storytelling language comprehension ability and scientific problem solving capability of children. The participants of the research were 40 children of age 4 who attend Y kindergarten in Shiheung, Gyeonggido. The experimental group engaged in science experiment-related science activity storytelling for 10 times over a period of 10 weeks. At the same time, the comparison group engaged in 10 science experiment without doing science activity storytelling. For measurement, used the t – verification to know analysis the effect of using the scientific problem solving capability and language comprehension ability. The result from science activity storytelling for scientific experiment that makes good effects to child’s scientific problem solving capability and language comprehension ability. We’ve got a meaningful effect from experimental group than comparison group for the find the problem and statement, suggest idea of solve the problem and understanding in low rank factor of problem solving capability.
