메타인지 활동 촉진을 위한 어포던스 기반 e-포트폴리오 설계 전략 개발

Abstract

e-포트폴리오는 종이로 제작하여 관리하던 기존의 포트폴리오를 디지털화한 것으로 학습자의 학습 과정에 대한 성찰을 가능하도록 한다는 점에서 학습자의 메타인지 활동지원을 위한 플랫폼으로 중요하다. 그렇지만 e-포트폴리오의 설계에 있어 학습자의 메타인지 활동을 촉진하기 위해서는 보다 사용자 친화적 관점에서 설계가 요구되며, 이를 위해 학습자의 행위가능성을 높일 수 있다는 점에서 어포던스를 고려할 할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 개발 연구의 절차에 따라 Maier와 Fadel의 어포던스 기반 설계론을 적용하여 e-포트폴리오의 메타인지 활동 촉진을 위한 어포던스를 규명하고 설계 전략을 제안하였다. 또한 설계 전략에 따라 구현된 e-포트폴리오의 프로토타입에 대한 학습자반응 평가를 실시하였다. 연구결과 메타인지 활동을 촉진하는 e-포트폴리오의 어포던스를 9개의 범주로 분류하여 규명하였으며 이를 기반으로 설계 전략을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 e-포트폴리오의 설계에 있어 학습자의 메타인지 활동을 촉진할 수 있도록, 메타인지와 관련된 어포던스를 규명하고 이를 기반으로 사용자 친화적인 e-포트폴리오의 설계 전략을 제안하였다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.

e-Portfolio is a digitalized portfolio that allows learners to manage their learning processes. It is also important as a platform that support metacognitive activities. Affordance perspective is one of important considerations in designing a user-friendly e-portfolio because it increases learners’ action possibilities for prompting metacogntive activities. However, few studies have designed and developed e-portfolio from affordance perspective. Thus, the purpose of this study is to suggest e-Portfolio design principes to facilitate metacogntion from affordance perspective. For this, nine affordance components of e-Portfolio for metacontion support were identified from literature reviews. Then, design principles were suggested. An e-Portfolio prototype was developed and tested with college students at Korea. The result show that employed affordance design principles improved the usability of the e-Portfolio. Future design implications were suggested based on findings.
