한국 청소년활동 실태 및 요구의 특성

Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 청소년활동의 실태와 요구를 확인하고, 그 특성을 분석하는데 있다. 청소년수련활동인증제도의 9개 활동 영역과 그 세부활동을 적용하여 전국 17개 시·도 중학교 2학년과 고등학교 2학년 청소년 3,394명의 청소년활동 실태 및 요구를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 청소년들의 10명 중 9명은 청소년활동에 참여하였고, 80% 이상은 참여를 희망하였다. 건강·보건활동을 제외한 나머지 8개 영역에서 청소년들은 경험한 것보다 더 많은 활동에 참여하기를 원하였다. 영역별 청소년들이 참여한 세부활동과 참여를 원하는 세부활동은 차이를 보였다. 성별 및 교급에 따라 참여한 청소년활동 영역이나 세부활동은 유사하였지만, 앞으로 하고 싶은 활동은 각각 달랐다. 향후 청소년활동은 이러한 특성을 고려하여 영역과 세부활동이 재편될 필요가 있다. 현장 및 야외에서 이루어지는 보다 활동성 있는 청소년활동을 확대하여야 한다. 또한, 청소년들의 개별적 특성과 요구에 맞는 활동 역시 적극 반영되어야 하며, 청소년활동시설 중심의 정확하고 다양한 정보의 제공이 요구된다.

This study was to examine the Korean youth activity condition and needs assessment, and to analysis the characteristics of them. The data was analyzed using 3,394 middle and high school students of 17 cities and provinces by 9 activity areas and the specific programs of Youth Activity Accreditation System. Nine tenths of youth participated in youth activity and over 80% of them wanted to participate in youth activity. Youth wanted to participate in activities more than the activity who they experienced in the 8 activity areas except Health activity. There were differences between participation and requirement in the specific programs. According to gender and school class, they had different ideas about interesting programs. Therefore, youth activity is needed to reorganize activity areas and the specific programs. Also, we have to expand outdoors activities and consider individual characteristics of youth when we plan programs. We need to provide accurate and diverse information focused on youth facility for youth.
