초현실주의의 관점에서 바라본 뉴미디어 아트의 확장 분석 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 초현실주의 기법과 초현실주의의 사상이 어떻게 뉴미디어아트에 영향을 주었는지를 비교하기 위해 Ars Electronica Festival에 수상된 작품사례들을 조사, 분석하고 과거의 미술사조의 하나인 초현실주의가 뉴미디어아트에 끼친 영향을 통해 확장되고 있는 뉴미디어아트를 더 효율적으로 감상, 제작하는데 도움을 주고 미술사학적으로 뉴미디어아트를 분류하는 방법의 가능성을 제시하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 연구의 방법과 범위는 문헌연구와 관련 논문을 통해 초현실주의와 뉴미디어아트의 개념 정립을 하였다. 정립된 이론과 뉴미디어아트 작품사례 분석을 근거로 과거의 미술사조의 하나인 초현실주의가 뉴미디어아트와 어떤 연관성이 있는지 초현실주의의 특징인 ‘초현실적인 환영’과 ‘데페이즈망’, ‘자동기술법’으로 미디어아트 작품들을 고찰해보고 초현실주의와 뉴미디어아트의 차이점으로 인한 한계점을 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 과거 사조를 통한 뉴미디어아트의 분석이 미술사학의 하나의 사례로 이용되어 뉴미디어아트의 예술적 기반을 확고히 하는 고도화작업이 이루어지길 기대해본다.

This study is that the idea of surrealism and surrealist techniques how the new media art affected, in order to compare whether the Ars Electronica Festival to award the work practices research, analysis and art history of the past, one of Joe's influence on Surrealism through the New Media Art expanded and more efficient in the new media art appreciation, art history helping to biological production of new media art and possibilities of the method of classification to that purpose.Range of research methods and research related papers in the literature over the formulation of the concept of new media art and surrealism were corrected. Established theory and new media art works of the past on the basis of case studies, we could suggest a new possibility that there is any correlation and threshold between surrealism's feature, and media art works. Through this research, the analysis of new media using art history as one of the new media art practices to ensure the advancement of the art -based work will be achieved.
