PSS(Product Service System) 적용 사례를 통한 프로세스 분석 연구

Abstract

'융합'을 기반으로 하는 제품 통합 서비스 시스템(Product-Service-System, PSS)은 물리적인 제품의가치뿐만 아니라, 제품의 전반적인 수명 주기에 가치를 두고 효용성과 사용자의 경험 가치에 중점을 둔방법론이다. 본 연구에서는 PSS 프로세스를 적용하고, 단계별 의견을 분석하여 프로세스의 효율성과 타당성에 대한 종합적인 평가를 하는데 연구의 목적이있다. 프로세스를 분석하기 위해 C대학의 12명의 박사과정 연구자들을 대상으로 FGD와 In-DepthInterview를 실시하여 진행과정에 대한 종합적인 평가를 하였다. 과정별 연구결과는 다음과 같다. LifeCycle Step의 관련자 요구 도출 단계는 많은 아이디어를 발산할 수 있으나, 관련자들의 수가 너무 많아상당한 시간이 소요하게 되고, E3 기반 가치 도출 단계는 기존 E2 Value에 경험적 가치를 조사할 수 있어새로워 보이나 ‘Experience‘에 대한 니즈를 분류하는데는 다소 어려움이 있다. Service Blueprint 단계는순차적인 정리를 통해 사용자의 행동과 Backstage에대한 Activity를 정리하면서 새로운 시스템개발을 위해 연구의 도움이 되고, Context 기반 PSS 행위 모델링 단계는 상황의 전후 과정의 맥락을 통해 전체적인사용자의 환경을 분석할 수 있어 활용가치가 높은 도구로 인식하고 있었다. PSS Function Modeling과Affordance Feature 단계는 진행 및 이해하는 과정에서 어려움을 느끼고 있었으며, 마지막으로 BusinessModel Canvas 단계는 전체적인 사업에 대한 내용 파악을 가능하게 하는 도구로 인식하고 있었다. 이러한종합적인 분석을 통해 과제의 정의 및 정확한 문제인식을 유도하는 과정이 필요하며, 개발하고자 하는제품의 본질 및 주요기능의 정확한 분석이 필요하다. 또한, 좀 더 디자인적 접근을 유도할 수 있는 용어로변환하는 과정이 필요하며, 통합된 가이드라인을 추출해야 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

The 'convergence'-based Product-Service-System(PSS) is a methodology focusing on the experience valueof effectiveness and users based on the value of not onlyphysical products, but also the overall life cycle ofproducts. In this study, PSS is applied and, the efficiencyof the process step-by-step analysis of assessment anda general evaluation of the validity study for the purpose. In order to analyze such process, we conducted FGD andin-depth interview with 12 researchers in doctor's coursefrom C university, and had general evaluation of theprogress process. The results of the study in each processare like following. The Stage of Deducting ConcernedPeople's Demands of Life Cycle Step can show many ideaswhile it takes too long due to too many concerned people. The Stage of Deducting E3-Based Value looks new asit is possible to research the existing E2 value andexperiential value while it is a little hard to classify needsof 'experience'. The Service Blueprint Stage is helpfulto the research on the development of new system bysummarizing users' behavior and backstage activitythrough the sequential arrangement. The Context-BasedPSS Behavior Modeling Stage was recognized as a usefultool as it can analyze the overall environment of usersthrough the context of situation. The PSS FunctionModeling and Affordance Feature Stage were felt to bedifficult in the process of proceeding and understandingwhile the Business Model Canvas Stage was recognizedas a tool that helps the understanding of the overall projectcontents. Through such general analysis, it is needed tohave a process of inducing the definition of tasks andaccurate cognition of problems, and also to have accurateanalysis on the essence and main functions of the productto be developed. It is also necessary to have a processof converting terms that can induce more design-basedapproach, and also to extract integrated guidelines.
