시대변화에 따른 디자인 영역 확대에 대한 소고 - 보이지 않는 영역을 중심으로 -

Abstract

최근 다양한 분야에서 디자인의 창의적 사고를 적용하여 많은 발전과 변화를 거듭하고 있으며 그로인해 영역 간의 경계가 붕괴되고 있는 점을 관찰할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구자는 오랜 시간 현직에서 디자인 업무를 진행하거나 디자인 교육에 관련이 있는 전문가를 대상으로 현상 파악을 위한 인터뷰를 진행했으며 그 인터뷰를 근거로 디자인 영역의 확대와 변화에 대하여 조사 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 전문가 집단 인터뷰를 통한 현상파악과 그에 따른 문헌연구를 진행함과 동시에 새로운 디자인 영역의 기준을 제시하고자했다. 그 결과 참고할만한 가치를 지닌 다양한 현장의 목소리를 들을 수 있었으며 현재 디자인의 발전 방향에 있어 무형의 가치 증진과 문제 해결책으로써의 요구가 점차 증가하고 그에 따른 다양한 변화를 겪고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구자는 그와 관련된 기준을 인간의 감각 중 가장 우위를 차지하고 있는 시각에 두고 디자인 영역 확대에 따른 용어 사용 기준을 제시하였다. 또한 본 연구의 용어 정의는 디자인 영역을 확대하고 확고히 다지는데 주요 이슈가 될 수 있으며 지금껏 다양한 표현으로 사용되었던 디자인적인 사고 발전을 위해 시사점을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

We can observe recently that various areas repeat developments and changes by applying creative thinking of design, and boundaries among areas are blurred as a result. So I had interviews to understand the status with experts who have had design works for a long time or who are related to design education. Based on the interviews, I had the investigation and analysis on the expansion and change of design area. This study tried to understand the status through expert group interview and the following literature research, and present the new standard of design area at the same time. As a result, various field voices with reference value could be heard, and we could find that intangible value increase in the development direction of design and demand for problem solution are increasing, and various changes are occurring accordingly. Thus I presented the criteria of terminology use according to the expansion of design area by having the relevant criteria at the sight which has the most dominant position among human sense. Also, it is expected that terminology definition of this study could expand and cement the design area, and give implications to develop design thinking which have been used in various expressions so far.
