Abstract
A novel ZnO nano-grating structure to enhance the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensitivity is proposed and demonstrated. The grating coupled SPR was analysed using the finite-difference time-domain method. A resonance angle of 49 degrees was measured in the 150 nm-wide grating structure with a period of 300 nm at a 30 nm ZnO thickness.
