김승희의 시에 나타난 탈식민주의 연구 * ― 2000년대 이후의 작품을 중심으로

Abstract

본 논문에서는 김승희의 시에 나타난 탈식민주의적 양상을 살피고자 하였 다. 김승희는 현 시대에서 지배와 피지배의 논리가 아직 존재하는 것을 인식하 고 제국주의적 폭력과 신자유주의에 의한 자본권력의 지배, 가부장적 권위에 의한 억압에 대해 비판적 시각으로 바라보았다. 제국주의의 표면과 이면을 포 착하여 식민 통치의 교묘한 속성을 폭로함으로써 독자로 하여금 보이지 않는 문화적, 정치적 억압 현실을 직시하도록 하였다. 자본주의로 인한 여러 현상을 신자유주의의 관점으로 바라보고 그 속에 존재하는 지배와 종속의 관계에 집 중하였다. 또한 신식민주의적 체제와 남성중심주의의 가부장제 이데올로기에 서 이중의 식민화를 겪는 여성이 타자화 되는 상황을 탈식민주의적 글쓰기를 통해 보여주었다. 이를 통해 지배 권력의 위계질서를 해체하여 주체와 타자 사 이의 경계를 무너뜨리고자 하였다. 나아가 김승희는 세계 각국의 여성들의 고 통에 공감하고 연대하여 여성의 훼손된 정체성을 회복하는 것이 지배 이데올 로기의 억압구조에 맞서는 일이자 여성의 고통을 치유하는 일이라고 보았다. 이러한 김승희의 탈식민주의적 사유는 타자로서 존재하는 피지배층의 해방의 가능성을 보여준다고 할 수 있다.

In this paper, I examine the postcolonial aspects which appear in the poetry of Kim Seung-Hee. Kim Seung-Hee recognizes the logic of dominance and that subordination still exists, and also takes a critical view of imperialistic violence and patriarchal repression. She helps the reader confront invisible cultural and political repression by capturing the dark side of imperialism and revealing the fiendish properties of colonization. She also reveals the plight of women, who suffer from the overlapping colonization between the neocolonialist system and patriarchal ideology, become others through postcolonial writing . Through this writing, she tries to disarm the hierarchical rule of the governing class and break the boundary between the subject and the other. Furthermore, Kim Seung-Hee believes that sympathizing with the suffering of women all over the world and restoring the damaged identity of women is a way to fight against the suppression caused by the domination ideology. These postcolonial thoughts of Kim Seung-Hee’s reveal the possibility of liberation for the subjugated class , who exist the others.
