Abstract
본 연구의 목적은 50-60대 부부의 관계증진 욕구를 충족시키기 위해 부부가 함께 이용할 수있는 보편적, 예방적 성격의 프로그램을 개발, 시험 적용하고 그 효과와 성과를 고찰하는데 있다. 이를 위해 관계교육(RE) 콘텐츠를 포스트모던 이야기치료로 접근하는 6회기 부부 관계증진프로그램을 개발하여 지역기관에서 실시하고 유사실험설계와 추후 초점집단면접을 통해 효과성과성과를 평가하였다. 프로그램에 참여한 이들은 관계건강성 지수(RHI)면에서 유의한 향상을 보였으며 프로그램 운영 전반에서 높은 만족도를 보였다. 한편 추후 초점집단면접을 통해 참여자들은프로그램 성과로서 서로의 차이에 대한 이해, 대안적 관계방식의 실천, 부부간의 친밀감 향상, 배우자와 자신에 대한 재인식을 언급하였으며, 관계에 대한 안도감, 부모자녀관계 향상, 원가족관계의 긍정적 변화, 주변사람들과의 관계 변화와 같은 경험의 확장을 보고하였다. 또한 프로그램의차별성으로서 강점과 가능성에 대한 초점, 놀이 은유를 활용한 다양한 활동의 적용, 다른 부부와의활발한 상호작용이 언급되었다.
This study examined the effectiveness and outcome of a preventive program developed to enhance the relationship for couples in their 50s and 60s. For this, the authors designed a six-session relationship education program that is facilitated by the principles of postmodern therapy and implemented it to 8 couples (N=16) at a public family agency. A quasi-experimental design was applied to examine the program effectiveness and a focus group interview were conducted on the participants for qualitative evaluation of their experience during and after intervention. The participants showed a significant increase in RHI post intervention and an overall satisfaction with the program format. They reported as the program outcome better understanding of the differences between the spouses, practicing of alternative ways of relating to each other, increased intimacy, and change in thoughts about self and the spouse. The program effect was reported to have extended to sense of relief about the relationship with their spouse, improved parent-child relationships, and increased positiveness in the relationship with their families of origin and others around them. In addition, mentioned as what sets this program apart from others were the focus on strengths and possibilities, use of interesting activities informed by the play metaphore, and more chances to interact with other participating couples.
