- Abstract
- Photoluminescence(PL) and resonance Raman scattering from CulnS(2) single crystals grown by using the horizontal Bridgman method were investigated. One sharp free A exciton peak and two broadband D-A pair emission peaks were observed, Six resonant Baman peaks assigned to E-2, an overlap of B-22 and E-3, A(1), E-4, an overlap of B-23 and E-5, and the two-phonon mode of 2B(21) Were observed. The dependences of the Raman cross-sections of the one-phonon modes for the B-2 and the E modes on the excitation photon energy were also investigated. Two Baman cross-section enhancements were observed. The one at 1.537 eV and the other at 1.554 eV were due to outgoing resonances with the lowest energy free A, and B and C excitions, respectively.
