dc.description.abstractThe result size of a query to velocity skewed moving objects was estimated. The construction algorithm of an improved spatio-temporal histogram to accurately estimate the selectivity for spatio-temporal queries for the future locations of moving objects was proposed. In experiments on moving objects with very skewed velocity distributions, the proposed method produced significantly accurate estimation of the selectivity for spatio-temporal queries.-
