영화 속 재일한국인의 한국어의 기능 및 이미지

Abstract

This research focuses on the Korean language used by Japanese Koreans in movies. It analyses the function of Korean and how the language is depicted in the speech of three different generations, from the 1st to the 3rd, in eight different movies. The vocabulary as well as the syntax were analyzed. The following characteristics were observed:(1) The movies reflect the difference of attitude towards the language proficiency of each generation. (2) They also attempt to reproduce the language contact seen in the speech of Japanese Koreans. However, as the language used in movies has lost its function of communication and has become a stuffed language, it has the role of emphasizing the ethnic identity or the ethnicity of Japanese Korea. For instance, the vocabulary used by the characters reinforces ethnic symbols. It also reflects violence. This image of violence associated to Japanese Koreans was the common one in the periods when the movies are set, the colonial period, the post war period and the 60's and 70's. The violent images associated to Japanese Koreans in those times are reflected in the Korean language used by the characters in the movies.

本研究は、映画の中の在日韓国人の韓国語に焦点を当てて、映画の中において韓国語に与えられた機能および在日韓国人の韓国語がどのようなイメージに描かれたかについて考察したものである。1世から3世までの各世代を描いた8本の映画を分析の対象にして、映画の中の韓国語について語彙的な側面と構造的な側面から分析した。その結果、映画の中の韓国語は在日韓国人の使用する韓国語を一部反映することがわかった。次のような点である。(1) 世代間の言語使用能力に対する意識の差を反映する(2) 言語接触の結果を反映するしかし映画の中の韓国語はすでにコミュニケーションの機能を喪失し、剥製にされた言語(a stuffed language)であり、在日韓国人のethnicityまたはethnic identityを際立たせる道具として機能することがうかがえた。韓国語の語彙を分析した結果からは、民族象徴的なイメージや暴力的なイメージを表しているという実態が確認された。(3) ethnicityまたはethnic identityを象徴する剥製にされた言語である(4) 映画の中の韓国語は、民族象徴的イメージや暴力的イメージを伝えるこうしたイメージは、映画の背景が植民支配期および敗戦の前後、また1960年代~70年代になっていることに起因する。当時の在日韓国人の暴力的イメージが、映画の中の韓国語に反映されたのである。
